The smartphone market is one of the biggest markets in India and every month we see dozens of smartphones getting launched and next month won’t be any different. August 2021 will see a lot of new smartphone launches and some of them have already been released in the global market and waiting for India’s launch but some of them will be new for even the global market. Here’s a list of smartphones that are going to release in India in August 2021.
Asus Zenfone 8
Asus released its Zenfone 8 series smartphones a few months back and now Asus is all set to release the Zenfone 8 series smartphones in India. Asus will call this phone Zenfone 8z in India just like its previous flagship smartphones. This smartphone comes with almost everything you can ask in a flagship device with a compact yet awesome form factor. Zenfone 8z may come with a sibling brother as well which may be a pro variant or maybe a mini variant.
The Zenfone 8z will come with a 5.9 inches Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by the latest Gorilla Glass Victus to keep it from scratches and cracks. It will feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor with up to 16GB RAM. The storage also goes to 256GB UFS 3.1 but with no option to expand it.
Zenfone 8 features a dual-camera setup which includes a 64MP main sensor and a 12MP secondary sensor for ultrawide pictures. The smartphone is capable of 8K videos recording at 24fps. It comes with a 12MP selfie shooter which can do 4K at 30fps. The smartphone comes with a 4000 mAh battery which can be charged rapidly using the 30Watt charger inside the box.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3
Samsung is holding an event on August 11 and there will be a lot of devices to get unveiled including the two foldable devices. We have all been waiting for this foldable device to be released. These devices will be the third iteration of the respective lineup and will come with greatly upgraded features from last year. The devices which are going to be released are the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3.
There will be more devices in the unpacked event but we still don’t have any information about those devices right now. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will comes with a really amazing display and if possible, we may see the under-display camera tech from Samsung in these two latest devices. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 will come with a bigger display on the outside of the phone so you get to see more information without opening the phone.
There are no confirm specifications or details about the smartphone but some rumored specifications are available on the internet. According to the rumors, we may see a waterproof foldable smartphone from Samsung. The rumors also claim that the Galaxy Z Fold will come with the S-Pen support and the case will have a place to store away the S-pen when not in use.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 is the next flagship smartphone from Xiaomi which is going to be released globally and may come to India as well. The Mi Mix 4 smartphone will come with almost the same design as the Mi 11 Ultra. It will come with a small display at the back of the phone just like in Mi 11 Ultra but with more features than before.
The Mi Mix 4 will come with up to 12 GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage and the smartphone is going to be a 5G phone. There are rumors that the smartphone will come with a 120 Watt charging which Xiaomi showcased recently. The smartphone will definitely come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor. There are some new rumors about the device being released in August with the release of MIUI 13.
Realme GT Series
Realme GT series has been teased to be launched in India which will include a Realme GT 5G and a Realme GT Master Edition. One of the smartphones from this series called Realme GT Neo has already been released in India as Realme X7 Max 5G. This leaves three smartphones in this series which could get released in India in August.
The Realme GT 5G smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 888 5G processor while the GT Master Edition will feature Snapdragon 778G processor. Both the smartphones come with a high refresh rate display and both will feature a fast 65Watt charger. There will be a triple camera setup on both smartphones and there will be a special edition rear panel. These smartphones will be affordable flagship devices as expected from Realme.
Redmi 10 Series
Xiaomi’s Redmi series smartphones are one of the most popular budget segment smartphone series in India. And Xiaomi is working on releasing the 10th iteration of the Rdmi smartphone series next month. Redmi India Twitter page has already posted a teaser about the release of the Redmi 10 series smartphone launch. This is still unclear how many smartphones will be released under the Redmi 10 series. Last year, Xiaomi released only two smartphones in Redmi 9 series and then released more of those smartphones later.
So, Xiamoi may use the same strategy this year too and will release only two handsets in August and then keep filling this series with new smartphones later this year. Well, there is no information about any of the devices in the Redmi 10 series so I think we have to wait till August for the launch to know more about them.
