I presume that more than 50 percent of Android smartphone users use Google Chrome as their default browser and don’t even bother to install a third-party browser. And using incognito mode on Google Chrome is a way to go when you want to search for something you don’t want to add to your search history. But what if you want to take a screenshot of the incognito tab in Google Chrome to share it with someone?
Well, your smartphone won’t let you do it because of the security issue and even if you try, you will get a completely black screenshot. If you still want to take screenshots of Google Chrome’s Incognito tabs then here is a simple trick to do that. You don’t need to install any third-party app or an additional browser. Just use this trick in your phone’s Google Chrome once and then you can easily take screenshots normally.
This trick will enable the feature to take screenshots in Google Chrome’s Incognito mode. If you want to revert back the changes then just retrace the steps and disable that feature.
How to Take Screenshots in Google Chrome’s Incognito Mode
- Launch Google Chrome on your smartphone.
- Type “chrome://flags” in the address bar and hit enter to open that page.
- A page will open with a lot of features to enable, search for “Incognito” in the search box.
- Look for “Incognito Screenshot” in the search results.
- When you find it, just enable that feature using the drop-down menu.
- Once enabled, it will ask you to relaunch Chrome.
- Just tap on Relaunch and the browser will restart.
- Once restarted, you can now take regular screenshots of the Incognito tab just like the regular tabs.
Wrapping up
This is how you can easily enable the incognito screenshot feature on Google Chrome on your smartphone. This feature also reveals the content of the incognito tab in the recent apps page so if you want to disable it, just retrace the steps and disable that feature.
